Slumber Party

Madeleine had her first slumber party this weekend, hosted by her friend Campbell on Balboa Island in Newport Beach.

Not too shabby as a venue for her first slumber party....





After a long time at the beach and a good nap, it was time to slip into some silk PJs and play with a parasol


Daddy wasn't wild about the concept but Madeleine clearly enjoyed bathtime with the boys.


Then it was time to snuggle up in front of the TV and watch fun shows








The kids table was so lively on Sunday morning that even the daddies joined in

Daddy Day

Madeleine had a pretty full Daddy Day on Saturday while Mommy was enjoying some time off the clock in honor of Mother's Day.

After a morning of Sports Blitz and another 90 minutes at the park, we met mommy for brunch and gave her a special Mother's Day surprise - a trip to the spa at the Langham Hotel.

While Mommy was at the spa, Madeleine went with daddy to the old fashioned soda fountain down the street and enjoyed her first hot fudge sundae.


Then it was time to go home and set up her mass-casualty diaper changing area for all the stuffed animals.


Then a special request learned from Grandma Kay - sitting on the bench and saying "pictures" and then posing for pix.





After all that activity, it was naptime - and the best way to have a nap is to cover yourself in stuffed animals for smother love.

Snuggler

Madeleine has a new morning ritual - coming upstairs to snuggle in bed with mom and dad. She usually brings her own blanket and a stuffed animal but she's pretty happy as long as we prop up some pillows for her.
