Christmas Part 2
Ok, so the little one isn't quite as into Christmas as her big sister. But she still got into spreading the holiday joy by passing some serious gas, resulting in several million dollar smiles. And she played with a toy for the first time and big sister helped with her stocking too.

Togetherness
Eight straight days of rain plus, of course, a new addition means we're getting lots of quality time together. Thankfully everyone is adjusting well to being a party-of-four!
Christmas Tree Angel
We don't have an angel on top of our Christmas tree but we sure have one in front of it

Clean Bill of Health
Simone went to the doctor this morning for a checkup because she had lost a bit of weight before leaving the hospital - not too much, but enough to make the doctor want to see her again.
Herself not only has started packing the ounces back on but the doctor said she looks "fabulous" and she hopefully is done with poking and prodding for two more weeks.

Hannah's Latest Marathon
Coming up on 24 hours since Mommy checked in at the hospital and Baby 2 is still not here yet. Stubborn little bugger - wonder where that comes from? Mommy is getting great care and isn't in pain although she's exhausted. Daddy was sent home twice - not for bad behavior - but because things are going so slowly. Hopefully today's the day!

A Note to Our Readers - Farewell, and Hello
For three years, The Baby B has been a labor of love - a chronicle of our trials and errors as new parents, a travelogue of our journeys together, and a place to share our many photos with farflung friends and relatives -- and most of all, a tribute to our wonderful little girl.
But, as we get closer and closer to adding a new baby B to the fold, literally any day now, the name of our blog seems a little behind the times and a little too..... singular. We polled our massive readership (8 people - love you all) and while there was no plurality for any option there was a majority vote for a name change.
At the same time, technology has changed and evolved over the last three years, and the way we're generating and sharing content has changed significantly too. When we started this blog in December 2007, things like Facebook, Twitter, iPhones and iPads were either in their infancy or were just a twinkle in the eye of someone like Steve Jobs. If only Daddy had bought the stock then, Madeleine and Baby 2 would have a gigantic college fund because today they're obviously ubiquitous.
In nerd terms, we're increasingly using Apple products to post pictures and videos to the site (iPhone 4) and show the site to others (iPad). But, because of the Apple-Adobe fight over Flash player, we often can't see the videos that we post since the Blogger platform is Flash-based for video posting. We've also moved increasingly to Facebook for a lot of the "commentary" that we previously did on the blog, making it mostly a picture and video hosting platform.
We've found a new blogging platform that supports HTML5 for video so we can post videos from our iPhones AND see them on our iPhones and iPods (radical concept). It's a little less capable than this current platform for formatting and writing, but is much better for sharing media.
So...... barring some unforeseen factor, this will be our last post on The Baby B. Thank you all for your readership and especially for your comments over the years. We'll be sending the URL for our new blog to our "known" readers - if you're an "unknown" reader and want to keep up with us, leave a comment here or send an email to Daddy and we'll get the info to you.
We'll keep The Baby B up as long as Blogger lets us and we're also going to have it converted into book form (yes, there are services that do this) so Madeleine can have a record of her first three years. We're also exporting the content from here to the new blog so you can still get most of the old stuff (the videos, unfortunately, largely won't convert - but pictures and text will).
Thanks for the memories!

November Pix
It's been a whirlwind November and daddy has been a delinquent blogger so here's 30 days in a nutshell

Babywatch is in high gear as Madeleine gets ready to become a big sister

She's passing the time at preschool with her buddies doing arts and crafts

She even paid a visit to Daddy's office, which she loved

And had a special tea party in the kitchen at Daddy's work

Of course, November's high point was Thanksgiving. While mommy and daddy worked in the grown up kitchen, Madeleine prepared a special "feast" in toddler kitchen - pizza with candles and birthday cake with pepperoni and mushrooms - yummy!
