PopPop and KayKay Head West

Madeleine was feeling very sad and blue....


.... because daddy had to go to Shanghai.....


.... But she perked up and smiled....


.... When two Swingers from back east - Grandpa Bob (PopPop) and Grandma Kay (KayKay) came to visit.


PopPop read books....


.... And KayKay took her to the park and helped her find her way back to the choo choo train at the Getty Museum.





Of course, she still likes clinging to mommy most of all

Day at the Museum

Madeleine, a noted artist herself, had a delightful visit to the Getty Museum with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Kay (a.k.a. Pop Pop and Kay Kay) on Saturday.

Bubble Girl

Went to a great birthday party today where the entertainment was provided by Bubble Mania - basically a dude who knows how to do some very entertaining things with (you guessed it) bubbles.


Madeleine was fascinated and wanted a front row seat.


Then it was time to experience bubbles up close and personal.


That is one big bubble......


Needless to say, in the immortal words of grandma Kay, "Sheeeeeeeeeeeee LOVED it!!!!!!!!!"

Our 1st Korean 1st Birthday Party

You learn something every day - and today we learned that first birthdays are a BIG deal in Korean culture. Our friends Mark and Hannah invited us to their youngest's first birthday party - and it was nicer than most wedding receptions!

From traditional Korean outfits to Madeleine's favorite birthday party tradition - cake eating - it was a great time!

Easter Video

Madeleine had a great Easter weekend. Not only did the Easter bunny come to our house, but he also came to the park on Saturday and to our church on Sunday. This year the Easter bunny brought mostly small toys and, thankfully, Mommy and Daddy were kind enough to take care of the few sugary items he brought.
