Putting the Diaper on Mickey

Madeleine likes changing the diapers of Mickey and Minnie. It's one of her new favorite activities and is a secondary sign that she herself may have done some business requiring a change. Like all first time parents, she's struggling to master the diaper fastening techniques but she's trying hard.

Sports Blitz

Madeleine has a new Daddy/daughter activity on Saturdays called Sports Blitz. It's a very basic orientation to sports for toddlers teaching things like how to kick a soccer ball, throw a baseball and shoot a basketball.

Madeleine's interest in this activity is somewhat limited and she usually says "all done" after about 20 minutes - but she gets to see some of her toddler pals and play at the playground afterwards. And Daddy gets some one-on-one quality time with his daughter.

Baby Office

A trip to Pottery Barn, a little rearranging of the first floor and PRESTO - it's Madeleine's new office!

Madeleine loves all of the art items that Grandma Mary and Grandpa Steve got her for Christmas, starting with her art easel, and this interest has now developed into a full blown obsession with coloring books. Unfortunately we didn't have anywhere for her to sit while coloring that was her size - hence the new table and chairs that are perfect as part of her toddler art studio.
